Willow is beautiful material to work with whether you work with it green (freshly cut) or in its more processed form stripped, dried and soaked.

Harlequin trees are made with fresh cut ‘green’ willow rods and will start to produce leaves and shoots in the early Spring.

They are best left to grow in the pot that they are constructed in for the first summer and then either transplanted to a bigger pot or planted in the garden the following year.

The one we will make will be woven with double rod weave and stand about 120cm from the ground.

Harlequin tree will require some maintenance and watering to get it to green up at the top. That will be all explained during the workshop.

This workshop will include a light lunch.
